But that was not the only misfortune that the region was looking for. While 159 flashes were counted in Graz, the mayors in Pöllau, Graz area and Upper Styria were faced with several missions, including wind throwing and pumping. Heavy rains had already caused serious damage on Sunday, especially in the Weizer Oberland. Here Feistritz and neighboring feed streams came across the banks, and some streets and basements were flooded - a car was even carried away. The accident of a 32-year-old farmer was tragically on an "alp" near rats, whose tractor slipped on a sloping meadow and overturned. The man contracted serious injuries, but was able to free himself and was admitted to the LKH Graz.

According to Kulmer, the weather situation should relax on Tuesday afternoon. Until then, thunderstorms are still possible in Eastern Styria. In southern Styria, the southeast wind ensures that the risk of storm is somewhat reduced, but rain shower can occur occasionally. From Wednesday, the weather in the south and east of Styria seems to be stabilized, while Upper Styria still has to expect unsafe weather conditions by Thursday.
