From happiness to the marathon: Karin Rosenberger plans Berlin and New York!

In recent years, running in Austria has developed into a real passion - and not only with hobby runners. For Karin Rosenberger, who is considered a passionate marathon runner, running is a bit her luck. "I won a lot of medals and trophies, but that's not my main motivation," she says. In fact, the six -time Austrian champion in the ultramarathon trains up to 25 hours a week and combines running, swimming, cycling and gym. "Running has an enormous impact on my quality of life," says the Graz native, who is considered an inspiring role model. Over the years, she has not only participated in many runs, but also passed on her passion to her husband Wolfgang, who is also on the move Pacific on the marathon routes.

The first round ran in 2004, and despite the initial difficulties, she finally mastered the 10 kilometers. "Every step was worth it," she recalls. With regard to the future, she will be at the start in New York and Berlin this autumn. Due to her excellent runtime of 2:53:26 hours in the previous year in Graz, she received a start number for these large marathons without having to take part in the lottery process. So she will also do it in Graz between the two majors.

Karin has successfully completed a total of 54 marathons since her debut in Graz in 2006, of which she has won more than half. According to Karin, realistic planning that includes work and family is also crucial: "You have to set the priorities correctly and make training wisely." The Rosenberger couple plans to run all six major marathons, also known as majors - Chicago, Boston, London, Tokyo, New York and Berlin are the next challenges on the list.

She intensifies training and is optimistic about the coming months, always supported by her husband, who also has the goal of conquering the big cities. It is clear: running in Graz is not just sport, but a attitude to life! There are many who pursue the same goal - and the running community will surely continue to grow in the next few years.
