From today, June 2, 2025, parents can register their children for the popular swimming courses in the Sports and Wellness Bad in Auster. Under the motto "Swimming saves life", these courses are offered especially for children between the ages of 4 and 6. The courses take place in the first four weeks of July, each from Monday to Friday, and offer an excellent opportunity to bring the little ones closer to swimming and prepare them for a safe bathing time.
Overall, the program comprises four weeks with five units each for one hour. The exact course dates are from July 7th to 11th, 14th to 18th, 21st to 25th July and July 28th to August. The professional swimming instructors: Inside the Dolphinen Swimming School Graz lead the meetings and ensure that the children playfully learn to swim.

The participation fee of only 15 euros per child and week is financially supported by the city of Graz. Registration is required, and parents can register by email to delphinchen-anzarten@gmx.at . The commitment to the safety of the children in the water is of great importance through the "Swimming Lives" initiative, especially in the face of worrying statistics, which show that every fifth child in Austria is considered to be at risk of drowning. According to a study by the Board of Trustees for Road Safety, many children could not learn the basic swimming skills, which is due to various social and economic factors. There have been 387 drowning cases in the past ten years, including 38 in children and adolescents between 5 and 19 years.
