School cluster Deutschfeibstritz shines at Styrian Aquathlon championships!
Franz-Leitner-Straße 21-23, 8720 Knittelfeld, Österreich - The Styrian school championships in Aquathlon caused a sensation on June 3 in the Knittelfeld outdoor pool. Over 300 students from all over Styria showed their skills in bright weather. The event was a real highlight in the school sports calendar, in which the team spirit and sporting ambition were in the foreground. A special focus was on the team of the Deutschfeistritz elementary school. It was the first participation for the students of this age group. They were able to stand out with a convincing first place in the team classification. Her disciplines included 50 meters of swimming and running 600 meters. The successful participants include Marlene Zenz, Emma Krusch, Phoebe Lazaridis, Jakob Stamper, Georg Krainz and Emil Hagmüller. Particularly noteworthy: Jakob Stamper secured second place in the individual ranking.

The team of the MS Deutschfeistritz competed in the age group of the 5th and 6th school level, where the participants had to swim 100 meters and run 1200 meters. Here they achieved the second place with a great performance by Jana Zottler, Christina Steinbauer, Naila McKellop, David Dike, Lukas Marko and Raphael Gutensohn. In particular, David Dike, who also took second place in the individual ranking, stood out here.
The older years, i.e. the 7th and 8th school levels, were also well represented. They had to swim 200 meters and then run 1800 meters. The mixed team showed strong cohesion and took second place in the team classification. Maria Graf also made great things and placed in third place in the individual ranking. The combination of team spirit, sporty ambition and talent brought the school cluster Deutschfeistritz a remarkable medal yield: 1 gold and 2 silver medals.

The championships are not just a unique event: the Aquathlon in Knittelfeld is also a preliminary stage for other competitions. The next exhibitions are planned for June 16 to 18, where the Aquathlon competition for the age groups of the 5th to 8th school level is due. According to information from Education Styria , registrations are possible from June 6th.
In these competitions, the pupils not only show their sporting skills, but also strengthen the community of their schools. The Borg Eisenerz was able to achieve first place in the overall ranking in the last competitions with 11 participants and thus underlined the important value of teamwork and motivation, which is in the foreground at such sporting events, such as Iron ore reported.All in all, the Aquathlon in the Knittelfeld outdoor pool was a complete success and a great spectacle that makes you want more.
