Graz shines: Hanamicon 2025 inspires with cosplay and coolness!
Last weekendGraz turned into anime and manga culture at the stronghold when the annual Hanamicon took place. The largest anime and manga convention in Styria attracted numerous visitors and offered a third exciting year with a full program that extended from Friday to Sunday. The event was not only about the usual suspects such as anime and manga, but also included films, series and video games.
an extraordinary opening evening
The Hanamicon started on Friday evening with a glamorous cosplayball. From 6 p.m. the soap factory opened its gates for the ball guests, who presented themselves in elaborate costumes. At midnight, the ball queen and the ball king were crowned, a highlight for which many had long been waiting. The official opening at 8 p.m. with a violin performance also set the ceremonial setting. Although the ball guests were invited to dance the waltz, there were also attempts to perform a French dance that was not entirely successful.
a colorful program for everyone
Saturday was completely dedicated to the regular convention program. Several competitions took place on the Hanamicon stages, including two Cosplay competitions and a dance competition in which numerous talented groups and individuals took part. The invited guests are particularly looking forward to, among whom were well-known voices from the anime world. Angela again (flying with Misty, Sango and many other characters) as well as Florian Knorn and Tom Sielemann ensured a great atmosphere.
Despite the good mood, there was a challenge: the sun was relentlessly burned on the number of cosplayers who often searched for shady places to treat itself to a relaxation. Fortunately, many of them were well prepared. With mini fans, compartments and water bottles, they had always caused a pleasant cooling.
The Hanamicon 2025 was not only a place of encounter and exchange, but also a platform that celebrated the passion for the Japanese entertainment industry. In order to keep the visitors up to date, a practical app was offered that informed about current information, surveys and program items.
For everyone who wanted to participate, tickets were also available on site after the pre -sale had already ended.
