GC Murhof triumphs at Styrian Midamateurs championships!

On Pentecost weekend there was reason to be happy for the Murhof golf club, because the women and gentlemen of the club can now call themselves Styrian masters. At the Styrian championships of women and men's mid-amamaors who were held in the picturesque Golf Club Murau-Kreischberg, the golfers showed what they can do.

The women of the GC Murhof prevailed in the final against the GC Gut-Freiberg with 3.5: 1.5. Katharina Wolff-Plottegg and Monika Kriegl showed outstanding achievements, who won their match against Erika Hödl and Karin Moeller with 6 & 4. Elena Tarabova also added and won 5 & 4 against Evelyn Jakobitsch. Barbara Haberl collected another point with her 2 & 1 victory over Fatima Heike Christandl, while Triana Jessner was able to dismantle with 5 & 4 against Sonja Simoner. Only the duel between Margherita Müller and Helga Schulz ended. The third place in the women went to the GC Gut Murstätten.

The gentlemen of the GC Murhof also struck vigorously. With a 3.5: 1.5 victory against the GC Gut Murstätten, they underlined their strengths. Especially Daniel Simon and Michael Szmej, who won their match with 5 & 4 against Christoph Jöbstl and Christoph Rothschedl, ensured a successful start. Gerald Stangl prevailed 1 against Alexander Wernig, while Marcel Wagner 1 scored against Fabio Monschein. For the GC Gut Murstätten, Philipp Essl achieved a point with 3 & 1 against Serge Stockinger. Similar to the women, the match between Martin Ziegler and Stefan Bittermann undecided.

With the Austrian Midam team championships in two weeks, the next sporty highlight is just around the corner. Murhof-Captain Marcel Wagner confidently commented and is looking forward to the upcoming duel against the GC Gut Murstätten.
