Creative heads: HTL-Kapfenberg inspires with mechatronics projects!

A few days ago, the third classes of the HTL Kapfenberg presented their impressive final projects in the Mechatronics department. This event not only showed the student spirit of the students, but also the high level of creativity that is in the projects. From driving beer box to a self-made e-scooter-the students had faced the challenge of independently realizing their ideas from planning to implementation, and in just four lessons per week.

The process is exciting and challenged. First of all, the idea of ideas is on the program, followed by planning, programming, material organization as well as the structural implementation and even financing of the projects. At the end of the school year, the students must present their results in an official presentation in English, supported by image and video documentation. All projects must be functional, which sets the requirements all the higher. This was also shown in the presentation under the motto "Next Generation Engineering - electrically, efficient, unique", where a total of twelve creative projects were presented that impressed the audience and the jury equally.

creative masterpieces from the mechatronics

The projects were developed with a wide variety of approaches and technologies. The work presented included a coin manager, an e-pit bike, a motorized oil barrel and an electric boat. The students not only had to master technical challenges, but also demonstrated their soft skills. Matthias Dirl, one of the supervising teachers, emphasized how important these projects are for the promotion of creative ideas and technical skills.

The jury, consisting of the director Anke Lammer and other members, had the difficult task of evaluating the projects. Finally, the “CR4ZY CART” team with the students Luca Sammt, Mehmet Güzel and Maximilian Hänsler chose the winner. Their price was a 3D printed cup, a chip with RFID day and a free school day-a reward for their outstanding performance.

mechatronics - future -oriented training

Mechatronics itself is an exciting and dynamic field that combines mechanics, electronics and computer science. This discipline plays a central role in Industry 4.0, where automated systems and smart devices are becoming increasingly important. At HTL Kapfenberg, the students not only deal with theoretical content, but also benefit from practical experiences such as CAD construction, augmented reality and 3D printing. Projects such as "e-mobility in action" enable students to learn industrial-relevant skills and to optimally prepare for their professional future.

Insight into the professional fields of mechatronics shows that graduates are in demand. You can work in the development of machines, controls for robots and the monitoring of automated manufacturing systems or even start in project management positions. The students also have opportunities for specialization or studying in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.

Training as a mechatronics technician at companies such as Kuka enables young talents to work up close with the latest robot and automation technology. Here the editing of mechanical parts, the installation of software and the maintenance of systems on the curriculum is on the curriculum. Such practical training guarantees that graduates will be well equipped to master the challenges of the future.

In retrospect for the presentation of the HTL Kapfenberg, one can only say: not only technology was presented here at the finest, but also a look into the fascinating future of mechatronics. The students are ready to take the next steps and to develop innovative solutions for tomorrow. Meinverkirk reports that ... htl kapfenberg offers ... and kuka
