Bridge festival: Music variety conquers Neuberg and Mürzzuschlag!
Mürzzuschlag, Österreich - in Neuberg and Mürzzuschlag will be very musically going down to business in the coming days! The Brücken-Festival , curated by Ernst Kovacic, takes place from June 12th to 24th and promises a varied program with Contemporary music. The opening event begins on June 12th at 7 p.m. in the Mürz Kunsthaus with a special change concert. Here the audience is led by the premises of the Kunsthaus, while the music of various artists: inside the atmosphere penetrates.
The participants include the Pacific Quartet Vienna, the soprano Olga Siemienczuk, Flutist Yun Nakamura, the trombonist Bertl Mothers and many other talented musicians. The works played range from compositions of classic sizes such as Joseph Haydn and Henry Purcell to creative improvisations and Viennese songs.

The day after the opening concert, June 13, the house concerts "Bridges as a guest" in Hönigsberg, Mürzzuschlag and Neuberg are planned from 5 p.m. However, participation is only carried out with prior registration. You can hear Mina Zakić, the violon cellist, and Simon Kałużny, an award -winning violinist. Musically there will be various works from Giacinto Scelsi to Enno Poppe.
June 14th marks another exciting day with a program that focuses on the harmonica. Otto Lechner, Helmut Stippich and the accordion orchestra "Accordeana" appear at various locations in Neuberg, such as the Hofwartesalon train station and the Josef Pillhofer-Skulpthalle. Here sounds from Europe and South America, folk and dance music are presented in a colorful mix.

A special highlight of the festival will be the "Youth in Action" concert on June 17th at 6 p.m., in which pupils from the music schools from Mürzzuschlag, Kindberg and Mariazell appear. Pieces by David Mancini and Alberto Ginaena are planned. On June 24th, two performances of a children's concert entitled "Fox and Bear have a plan" will take place. Here it gets exciting when "Strottern" (Klemens Lendl, David Müller) and Christoph Bochdansky are delighted with stories and puppet shows.
The bridge festival is a cooperation with the “Wave sounds” festival in Lunz, which also contributes to some artistic contributions to the event. The desire to bring art and music closer to people becomes clear in the "Bridges to Guest" initiative, the local hosts: In the inside, invites you to loosen up the event as a whole and make it more accessible.
The variety of musical performances and the high number of artists involved: inside are also an expression of the warm culture and community that prevails in the region. A big thank you goes to Ernst Kovacic, who now hands over the festival as curator after years of engagement.
