Regional group Lie-Ba Shiatsu: New meeting point for healing art in Ausseerland!

Bad Aussee, Österreich - On July 3, 2025, the founding meeting of the regional group Lie-Ba Shiatsu took place in Ausseerland in Weißenbach. During a cozy breakfast in the seawear, the course for the future of the Shiatsu practitioners in the region was set. The aim of this new group is to promote the regional networking and visibility of Shiatsu. The numerous members published were visible and noticeably enthusiastic about the initiative.

A central moment of the event was the choice of the new regional management. Johanna Erhart from Bad Aussee was elected as the regional group leader, while Anita Lashan from Liezen will take on the role of the deputy. In short, there is a lot of digging and you want to build together.

The regional group is already planning a variety of activities that include joint events, participation in health and information. All Shiatsu practitioners in the region are cordially invited, regardless of whether they are a member of the Austrian umbrella organization for Shiatsu (ÖDS). This offers a valuable opportunity for networking and exchange within the community. In addition to the activities of the regional group, the broad support for social projects remains a concern. In 2022, ÖDS Shiatsu Community collected 14,100 euros for SOS emergency aid in Ukraine as part of the “Shiatsu for Peace” benefit campaign. Over 100 members offered treatments to help families in Ukraine and neighboring countries. Donations were also welcome long after the event, which shows how high the cohesion in the community is. The total donation was fully brought to the emergency aid.

Shiatsu as health -promoting practice

The promotion of Shiatsu also has a long tradition. The support association for Shiatsu e.V. from Germany deals with scientific research and support for Shiatsu in many areas, such as health prevention. Shiatsu is seen as a system of energetic body work, which is offered in various facilities such as health practices, wellness areas and schools. It not only helps with relaxation, but also supports self -healing powers and resilience. The work of the regional group Lie-Ba Shiatsu is therefore part of a larger whole that aims at strengthening and visibility of Shiatsu in society.

In a time when health and wellness are particularly popular, Shiatsu proves to be practical help with everyday stress, but also as a valuable resource for personal development. The new regional group will certainly help to spread these diverse opportunities further and to raise awareness of Shiatsu in the Liezen and Ausseerland region.
