Ceremonial start: Magdalena Egger crowned the new narcissus queen!

On May 30, 2025, the beautiful narcissus festival in Bad Aussee begins its second festival days and captivates both locals and guests with a colorful program. The start took place on May 29, when the garden festival of the volunteer fire brigade in the spa park initiated the happy mood. Many visitors gathered in a festive atmosphere and enjoyed the ambience.

The solemn highlights of the first day continued with the coronation evening in the Kur- & Congresshaus at 7 p.m. The focus was particularly on the choice of the new narcissus queen. Magdalena Egger from Bad Mitterndorf, a 24-year-old passionate flutist, was crowned new sovereignty. Together with their narcissus princesses Celina Gschaider from Seekirchen am Wallersee and Johanna Murauer from Altmünster am Traunsee, both of whom are also musically talented, they present the bloom of the festival.

a varied festival program

The program of the daffodil festival is diverse and offers something for everyone. On Friday, May 30th, the traditional May dance, for example, is on the schedule at 9 a.m. in the Kur- & Congresshaus. Children from the region proudly show their dance skills. In the evening, the city center of Bad Aussee again becomes the pedestrian zone and invites you to the narcissus night, where musical entertainment and regional delicacies are waiting for the guests.

The Saturday gives visitors an all-day classic car tour around Bad Aussee and Grundlsee. At 10 a.m., those present learn how the magnificent figures for the large parade are made. For this, local artists show their craft and thus contribute to the unique atmosphere. In addition, brass music concerts and the fashion show "Fashion meets Art" take place in the afternoon, which presents creative designs in connection with art.

highlight on Sunday

The crowning glory of the Narcissus Festival is celebrated on Sunday, June 1st, when the traditional parade in Altaussee begins. Here the spectators can admire the magnificent daffodil figures in their bright white flower dresses. The event will be initiated at 9 a.m. with music, magic and culinary delights. The boat parade ensures another highlight of the festival from 2 p.m.

The daffodil run, which took place on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., was also an exciting event. The course around the Altausseer See included distances of 8.1 km and 15.5 km and addressed both runners and spectators. The entire event offers a unique community experience and shows the warm coexistence of the villagers and guests.

The days of this traditional festival are captured by a daily updated diary, so that everyone remains interested in the special experiences and events. In Bad Aussee, the community and the joy of nature are visible, and the narcissus festival is the perfect expression of this connection.
