Future visions and innovative ideas: Graz celebrates the Future Day!

On May 23, 2025, the first Future Day took place at the FH Joanneum in Graz, an event that offered young people the opportunity to sniff university air, to find out more about current research topics and to develop visions for the future. As part of the event, numerous workshops and hands -on stations on various topics were offered. A special attraction was the presentation of the electrobolid JR25 by the Institute for Vehicle Technology / Automotive Engineering as well as innovative work assistance systems such as exoskeletons presented by the Institute Industrial Management. Recognition prices were also awarded at several schools, including HAK/HAS Innsbruck, HAK Völkermarkt, BG/BRG Pestalozzi and Bhak Mürzzuschlag.

Future Award for outstanding VWA-DA Work

The Future Award for the first time was awarded as part of the Future Day for outstanding pre-scientific work (VWA-DA). From 55 submissions, 35 work was invited to present their projects in a pitch presentation. The topics ranged from digitization to artificial intelligence to environmental and health issues. Aspects such as innovation, future viability and social relevance were assessed

The Future Award is funded by the Federal Ministry of Women, Science and Research (BMFWF) and shows the commitment to support future -oriented projects and ideas.
