Stefan Gastl triumphs in the Pentecostal Gn in Terenten!

Zell am See, Österreich - The Pentecostalgel in Terenten was a complete success on June 9, 2025. When the weather is bright, the spectators were able to look forward to exciting competitions without the weather conditions even disturbing even remotely. A total of 24 Salzburg school ceremony and two youth rankers competed to measure their strength in different age groups. Everyone looked at the fourth event of this year's Alpine Cup. There were outstanding achievements among the little fighters. In the category up to six years old, Elia Obermoser from Mittersill was able to fight for first place, while Phillip Scheiber from Leogang was at the top of the podium in the class up to eight years. Daniel Embacher from Piesendorf and Tristan Laubichler from Pongau secured the victories in the age groups up to ten and up to 14 years. In the other age groups, the spectators saw exciting duels and remarkable placements.

In the youth class up to 16 years old, Jakob Höller from Piesendorf was ahead after defeating Gabriel Mariner from Matrei in the final. The exciting fight for the first places captivated the crowd, and Matthäus Gander from Matrei also won the victory in the class up to 18 years. Daniel Höller from Piesendorf, who won class IV, also showed particularly noisy performances, while Hansjörg Voithofer from Bramberger won in class II. Jonas Voglreiter from Piesendorf had a surprising end in class III, who was already leaving in the first round.

Another highlight was the Hagmoar competition, where Stefan Gastl from Brixental/Wildschönau not only won against Kevin Holzer, but also defeated Martin Hauser in the final and thus triumphed. Another result from this competition was the departure of Gerald Grössig through Lukas Mattersberger from Matrei in the first round. In the Alpencup, Stefan Gastl is currently running with 48.5 points, followed by Philip Holzer from Matrei and Lukas Matterberger.

The fact that ranking in Terenten is a deep rooted customs sport cannot be overlooked. This sport has been celebrated in South Tyrol for decades. The cultural importance and social affiliation are central to the identity of the region. The events are often connected to village festivals or alpine festivals and are a platform to keep community spirit alive.
