The numbers show a clear trend: around 52 % of Austrians plan to buy something for Father's Day, a noticeable decline of 63 % in the previous year. Despite this acceptance, the average expenses per capita increase from 61 to 73 euros.

Overall, sales potential of around 180 million euros is expected for this day, which coincides with the yields of the previous year and is still far behind the approximately 270 million euros in Mother's Day. So much for the numbers - what are the most popular gifts this year? According to oe24.at, the tasty combination of chocolate, chocolate and sweets is found.

In Vienna, the amount is 72 euros, while Tyrol and Vorarlberg will follow 69 euros. Lower Austria and Burgenland spend 67 euros, while Styria and Carinthia each have the weakest expenses with 60 euros each.
