In the Salzburg City Library, which is located in the Lehen district, there is now an exciting novelty: the loan of board games. The youth area of the city library offers a wide range of offers with around 500 board games that includes classic games, children's games, educational games and strategic games for adults. Helmut Windinger, the head of the city library, emphasizes how important playing for communication and creative problem solutions is. Mayor Bernhard Auinger supports the initiative and emphasizes the connecting effect of joint playing that not only is fun, but also strengthens social relationships. If you want to borrow the games, you have the opportunity to borrow a maximum of three games per library ID. The loan duration is two weeks, with a one -off extension possible.
