Bad Aussee, Österreich - The daffodil queen was appointed in 2025 in the Kur- & Congresshaus Bad Aussee. The coronation took place on May 29, 2025 in a festively decorated framework, which underlined the emotional importance of the event. Three finalists focused on this special occasion before the choice fell on the new narcissus queen. The musical framework by the "Lent Lilies" and a show was rounded off the coronation evening. The freshly crowned daffodil queen is Magdalena Egger from Bad Mitterndorf. Celina Gschaider from Seekirchen am Wallersee and Johanna Murauer from Altmünster am Traunsee were honored as narcissus princesses. They will make a significant contribution to representation of the daffodil festival and the region.

The narcissus sovereigns take on several tasks. In addition to representative dates and media appearances, photo shoots and interviews are also on their program. During the daffodil festival, they are present at all important events and are accompanied by supervisors. They are dressed in traditional Ausseer costume that consists of a silk towel, a traditional jacket, traditional shoes, a leather bag, jewelry, hairstyle and make-up.

The Daffodic Festival 2025

The largest flower festival in Austria, the narcissus festival, also takes place from May 29 to June 1, 2025 in the Ausseerland. The main attraction are the handmade daffodil figures, which are presented in Altaussee on June 1, 2025. The festival site opens on June 1 at 9 a.m., while the daffodil figures are distributed in the village until 12 p.m. A boat body on Lake Altaussee begins at 2 p.m., followed by the award of the characters at 3 p.m. The festival ends with music and the delicacies of regional cuisine.
