100 years of Knappenmusik Böckstein: A festival for the region!

Böckstein, Österreich - On June 7th and 8th June 2025, a very special event will be celebrated in Böckstein: The Knappenmusikkapelle Radhausberg-böckstein celebrates its 100th anniversary! On this anniversary weekend, which takes place on the idyllic Ullmannwiese, visitors can expect a colorful program full of musical highlights and festive occasions.

The brief music band was founded in 1925 by Johann Steinbacher and nine other friends as the works band of the Radhausberg union. The chapel originally appeared in Salzburg's costume suits and has since developed into a central component of cultural life in the region. Over the years, the chapel accompanied numerous solemn and church occasions and remains an important provider of regional identity even after the mining ended.
