WiFi Oberösterreich starts a new course program: shaping the future!

What is happening in adult education in Upper Austria? The Business Development Institute (WIFI) recently presented its new course program and has been fresh from printing the newly designed green course book, which offers a comprehensive overview of the more than 10,000 courses, seminars and courses. WKOÖ President Doris Hummer emphasized the seriousness and reliability of the new course program. With over 103,500 customers in the past financial year, the WiFi Upper Austria has set a new record and thus strengthens its central role in the training of specialists in the region.

The course offer is aimed at all life and joblagen. No matter whether apprentice, young professionals or entrepreneurs - WiFi has the right further training ready for everyone. Particularly gratifying: the demand for online courses is growing steadily. In the course year 2024/25, almost 1,300 online courses with over 9,500 participants were successfully carried out. 90 percent of the participants see presence courses as a valuable form of learning, especially because of the social exchange.

versatile further training opportunities

The WiFi offers tailor -made training not only for individuals, but also for companies. The “WiFi Company Internal Training” program helps companies create and implement individual educational plans. There are also special seminars for entrepreneurs: inside and managing directors: inside, which include helpful tips, especially for sole traders (EPU) and small companies. As wifioOee.at emphasizes, further training for companies and their employees: inside of great importance.

The shortage of skilled workers remains a challenge. An IMAS survey within the framework of the "further training barometer" showed that 83 % of the companies in Austria consider further training to be important or very important. 55 % of the employees level life -accompanying learning as "very important", but only 31 % have implemented specific further training projects. The most common obstacles are the costs, lack of time and the need to remain up to date regularly. Nevertheless, an increase in attractiveness of vocational training would be an innovation lever for the economy, as the WIFI analyzes. It turns out that wifi.at are open to numerous positions in climate-relevant professions and the educational offer could be adjusted accordingly.

new learning environment in conversion

Another exciting aspect is the upcoming general renovation of the WiFi headquarters in Linz, which begins in mid-June. The conversion should not only modernize the building, but also create an inspiring learning environment. The new entrance area will act as a portal in an "educational experience world of the economy", and so the WiFi Upper Austria will continue to be a place in which learning and personal development are very important.

Overall, the new course program of the WiFi Upper Austria shows that further training in Upper Austria is still very popular and that companies and individuals offer the chance to get fit for the future. Whether in presence or online, the offer is diverse and adapts to the needs of the participants. How long can the upward trend continue? In any case, opportunities for sustainable professional development are more than given.
