Students discover chicken experience - an exciting excursion in Marchtrenk!
An exciting morning awaited the students of 2c of elementary school 1 Marchtrenk when they visited the Niederwimmerhof. As part of the program "The Egg, that wanders", the children learned everything about egg production and the life of the chickens. In wonderful weather, they had the opportunity to visit the chickens in the mobile chicken coop and even to feed and keep some of them. The morning was not only instructive, but also exciting for the little adventurers.
The idea behind the mobile chicken conservation is as simple as it is brilliant. The stables are regularly moved, which means that the chickens always have access to fresh green and new pastures. This method is gaining popularity because more and more consumers appreciate animal -friendly products. Providers of mobile stables that are on the rise in Germany hold between 100 and 2,500 chickens. They currently claim around 2% of the total chicken population in Germany, which includes a total of more than 156 million animals, with over 50% of the laying hens living in large companies with more than 50,000 animals. This no longer feels up to date for many.
The philosophy of mobile chicken conservation
Mobile chicken preservation not only promotes the well -being of the animals, but also the quality of the eggs. Eggs from this method are often rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D. In addition, mobile stables allow the chickens to behave more naturally. This type of attitude is considered to be species -appropriate and is increasingly valued by consumers. A comparison shows that large fattening farms with more than 50,000 animals are very different than smaller companies with mobile stables.
An example from the Siegerland illustrates the possibilities that this attitude brings: a company with 800 laying hens in mobile stables sells the eggs directly in the farm shop and at weekly markets. A creative idea that not only provides local freshness, but also strengthens the connection to domestic agriculture.
a place of learning with added value
Back to the Niederwimmerhof: The students were enthusiastic about the preparation of an egg dish from the freshly collected eggs. This practical experience not only promotes understanding of food production, but also a respectful way of dealing with the animals. A visit that certainly encouraged many curious ghosts who may one day focus on this species -appropriate chicken conservation.
If you want to know more about mobile chicken preservation, you will find interesting information on agriculture.de as well Metzger-suche.de. The fact that the demand for regional and animal -friendly foods is constantly increasing makes it clear that the trend towards mobile chicken conservation is not only sustainable, but also promising.
