Committed HAK students collect relief supplies for Wels social market!

In Wels, young people with a heart are committed to their fellow human beings. The pupils of the 2nd c class of the Wels trade academy collected food and hygiene articles for the Wels social market in a joint action. This valuable initiative was organized in cooperation with the Volkshilfe district association Welsk-Kirchdorf and took place on a Friday afternoon when the students sacrificed their free time to do good. The collected goods benefit those who can hardly afford daily life, which is particularly important today.

"The commitment of our students is exemplary," says Johann Reindl-Schwaighofer, the chairman of Volkshilfe, full of recognition. He emphasizes how important such actions are to raise awareness of social issues. Even in other communities, such as Gunskirchen, the topic of commitment is not ignored. For example, from March 17th to 18th, this community organized a similar donation in kind, in which the SPÖ team also collected donations in order to support the needy. Such initiatives show that solidarity and support in the neighborhood are very popular and that many people are committed to the community.
