Vöcklabruck's organ roas: a musical adventure in four churches!

Vöcklabruck, Österreich - in the city of Vöcklabruck it will be musical again on Sunday, June 15th. The "Orgelroas" event is just around the corner and invites everyone interested to a special experience. Organized by the Catholic and Protestant parish and the state music school, this hiking concert offers an interesting journey through the Vöcklabruck organ landscape. The performers are made up of talented students of the organ class by Bernd Geißelbrecht and experienced Vöcklabruck organists. The participating students include Simon Kendel, Xaver Hofstätter, Jakob Schönberger and Raphael Weidlinger. The organists Roswitha Hinterholzer, Michael Neumüller, Tobias Takacs, Markus Wimmer, Christoph Müller and Vincent Huemer-Meyer will enrich the musical performances and provide an unforgettable evening. Bernd Geißelbrecht - a musical life

Bernd Geißelbrecht, the head of the organ class at the Vöcklabruck State Music School, is not just an experienced teacher. Born in Zell am See, he received his first musical training in recorder and piano before devoting himself to the organ. His studies of music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg included music and instrumental education, with a distinction with the concert subject organ with Elisabeth Ullmann and Heribert Metzger. In addition, he took part in numerous master classes for organ and trained in the "historical performance practice" with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. An important milestone in his career was to win the international organ competition in Kaltern, South Tyrol.

Geißelbrecht is not only active as a teacher, but also as a concert organist, for example in the Evangelical Friedenskirche.
