On May 28, 2025, a new chapter for the Social Welfare Association (SHV) Vöcklabruck was opened in Lenzing. The opening of the new office, which is located in the old people's home, can be referred to as the "milestone", said district captain and SHV chairman Johannes Beer. With the conversion, the path was cleared to create modern office space on an area of ​​500 square meters after 15 unused care beds were previously dismantled.

The idea for the move was launched in May 2024, and the necessary renovation work began in February 2023. The move from Frankenmarkt to Attnang-Puchheim concretized against the background of urgent renovation work in the Franconian nursing home. A total of 31 residents were relocated to the new Baph in Attnang-Puchheim, with a planned return in December 2025.

Mayor Rudolf Vogtenhuber von Lenzing emphasized the advantages: the old people's home needed space, while the social welfare association urgently looked for space for its variety of services. This new point of contact will play a central role in coordination of essential tasks, such as setting social services, managing beds in five care facilities and personnel matters for around 500 employees: inside.

With the new social counseling center, which is integrated into the old people's home, a new chapter of social support in Lenzing also begins. There, citizens can receive support for financial, social law and nursing questions. Theresa Gstöttner, the head of the office, was pleased with the new location and its possibilities.

Social Councilor Christian Dörfel emphasized the immense importance of social counseling centers for the population, especially with regard to the clarification of claims and rights. The advice is based on the needs of the clients, for which committed social workers: are responsible inside. It should be emphasized that the advice itself is offered free of charge and confidentially, which is why it is independent of the worldview and religion.

Community Association President Christian Mader underlined the need for cooperation between politics, the population and everyone involved in order to constantly improve the social offers. In the new office of the SHV Vöcklabruck, the average budget of around 150 million euros is also managed, which underlines the importance and scope of the functions of this association.
