Three fire brigades in action: Missed woman wanted at the Traunfall!

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, a planned exercise by the fire brigades Windern and Roitham at the Traunfall in the Gmunden district was a real commitment. The police reported suspicion of a missing person after a vehicle with Italian license plate was discovered in a parking lot. Local residents reported that a woman sat in the vehicle and worked depressed. But when the emergency services arrived in the evening, the car was still there, but without insassin.

The fire department Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting was consulted for support and used a drone. Together with the police, the emergency services combed the area, both on foot and with boats along the Traunufer. Surrounding forest areas near Fallholz and Viecht were also inspected. Unfortunately, the missing person remained undetected despite the intensive search. After about an hour and a half, the use was ended in coordination with the police without finding the individual sought. The situation came close to many known missions in which quick action can be decisive.
