Riding pedagogy FEBS in Oberneukirchen: Adventure for small horse lovers!

In Oberneukirchen it runs round for the small horse lovers: Sophie Weber launched the riding pedagogy "FEBS", a great offer for children from the age of three. The name "FEBS" stands for imagination, experience, movement and play. The aim is to bring the fascinating world of horses closer to the children and at the same time convey valuable motor skills and social skills. After completing a certificate course in riding pedagogical support at the rural training institute OÖ, Weber realized this idea five years ago, inspired by the birth of her son. Her two horses, the Noriker "Garfield" and the pony "horses", accompany the little participants on their adventures.

The units are a great playful access for children who often show great progress after an hour. "They overcome fears and enjoy riding," says Weber. The participants learn in small groups of two to four children. The focus is not only on riding, but also the care and needs of the horse. The children alternately ride on a guided horse and play on the ground, which promotes their basic motor skills, without pressure or performance stress.

playful learning with horses

The concept of "FEBS" goes beyond classic riding lessons. It promotes the relationship between child and horse in a safe, fear -free frame. Diverse games and exercises address the basic needs of the children: movement, feel and experience closeness. Children between the ages of 3 and 10 get their money's worth here. The units last 60 minutes each and also integrate wandering exploring through the forest, which supports the natural urge to move of the children. Weather -consuming clothing, rubber boots and closed shoes are recommended.

The security aspects always come first at “FEBS”. The riding lessons take place without pressure to perform, instead the focus is on fun and non -violent, respectful handling of the animals. The positive effects of ponies on children should not be underestimated: in addition to physical support, social and emotional skills also come to the fore. Values such as empathy, consideration and self -confidence are conveyed in a playful way. It is no wonder that children often go home happy and relaxed after the units.
