Lisa Gruber crosses 4.10 m and fulfills EM limit in Prague!

What a season start for the talented Lisa Gruber from LAC Amateurs Steyr! At her competition in Prague with a height of 4.10 meters, the young athlete not only reached the limit for the U23 European Championships in Bergen, but also laid the bar for her further spring. "Cracking the limit right at the start of the season gives me the necessary motivation," Gruber is extremely satisfied. She only missed the 4.20 meters and now has time to prepare for the championships in mid-July, as meinzirk.at.

But that's not all: At the U20 European Championship in Nairobi, Lisa Gruber went one better. In qualifications, she crossed all heights in the first attempt and started in the final at 3.84 meters. She ensured this performance in the first attempt up to 4.02 meters. It became exciting at 4.10 meters, where her first jumping attempt did not work. In the second attempt, however, she demonstrated her skills and skipped the height with flying colors. With this performance she set up a new ÖLV-U18 record not to forget that she also fulfilled the standard for the U20 World Cup in Nairobi (4.07 m), such as Oelv.at holds.

a great degree

The highlight of the day came with her jump over 4.15 meters: This not only improved her personal best by 10 centimeters, but also stopped Kira Grünberg's ÖLV U20 record. Only three jumpers achieved the height of 4.15 meters, which Lisa secured the well-deserved bronze medal. Sarah Vogel from Germany crowned the winner with 4.30 meters, while the French woman Emma Brentel took second place with 4.20 meters.

In the same European Championship session, Johanna Plank from the TGW decathlon-union also performed great performances. She ran the third fastest lead time over 100 meters hurdles and secured second place in her run in the semi -final. She ended her final with a time of 13.62 seconds and thus secured fifth place, behind the Swiss Ditaji Kambundji, who achieved the fastest time with 13.03 seconds.

A look into the future

But not only the pole vault attacks cause a sensation. Kevin Kamschak, a U18 athlete from ATSV Linz La, competed in the 1500-meter final and finished the fastest U18 runner-he took seventh place with a time of 3: 49.68 minutes. The three-jumpers Endiorsass Kingley (TGW Zehmart-Union) and Jordan Lindinger-Asamoah (ATSV OMV Auersthal) also did their best and qualified for the final. Annika Rhomberg (Raiffeisen TS Gisingen) jumped 5.92 meters in the long jump qualification and took 20th place.

The Austrian team is therefore strongly positioned. The audience can look forward to exciting competitions. The athletes have demonstrated their shape and are ready to make Austria proud!
