Art week Steyr: Creative development from June 15th to July 12th!

The art week in Steyr is just around the corner and promises a special experience for art and cultural enthusiasts this year. From June 15 to July 12, 2025, the center of Steyr and Linz became the stage for creative workshops and exhibitions. The event has been organized annually since 2011, and this year the 15th art week is due to the topic of "Artweek". My district reports that workshops for interested parties of the visual arts and school classes with talented students are offered.

The workshops take place in spacious studios in Lamberg Castle and in the open air, with small groups being sought to ensure personal care. Five experienced lecturers will lead the program: Andrea Altemüller (photography), Christian Strutzenberger (sculpture), Dr. Martin Miersch (art history), Hapé Schreiberhuber (drawing) and Hubert Rittberger (stone pressure, lithography).

Special events and workshops

A highlight will be the participation of ten “artists in residence”, which will work in a large studio from June 26th to 29th. Registrations are possible until June 15th at info@kunstwoche.at . The special events during the art week include:

• Sunday painter & Landstreicher - June 15, 10:00 a.m., castle gallery, 29 euros.
• 3-day workshop "Drawing process"-27th to 29th June, 199 euros.
• studio talks - July 6, 7:30 p.m., free entry with pre -registration.
• Stone sculpture Workshops (bacon and Alabaster) - from July 7th to 10th, prices between 299 and 399 euros.
• Photo school of seeing-9 to 12 July, 450 euros (including model money), daily course possible for 150 euros.
• Kunsthistorisches Landpartie - Excursion on July 10th, 99 euros.

The workshops begin on Monday, July 8th. The aim is to promote the personal artistic development of participants, regardless of whether they are experienced artists or young professionals. Tips emphasizes that an opening party will take place on Sunday, July 7th at 7:30 p.m. in the Atelier Schreiberhuber in Lamberg Castle. The opening is framed by the duo ensemblart, which appears with its "Poison flower" program.
