On June 6, 2025, a great exercise of the F-Kat readiness took place in Suben in the Braunau district. This year, a simulated flight emergency scenario was on the program, which quickly went into a forest fire. A total of 88 fire brigade members from 16 different fire departments were used here, supported by 22 emergency vehicles. The alarmed forces were first active in a preliminary command at 11:00 a.m., followed by the rest of the emergency services at 12:30 p.m. The deployment room was determined by the Altheim fire department.
The exercise put the operational readiness and the ability to work with the fire brigades. A central feature was the post -extinguishing work in particularly rough terrain. Therefore, the latest technology was used: extinguishing bags, fire pats, RTE launching robots and drones with thermal imaging cameras were indispensable aids.
