Linz, Österreich - The FC Blau-Weiß Linz has to cope with a painful farewell: Danilo Mitrovic, the long-term player of the club, leaves the team and changes to FK Radnicki Kragujevac in Serbia. This decision was made, after Mitrovic had played a central role in the team in recent years and finally became a club hero. On his last matchday for Blau-Weiß, he scored the decisive 2-1 winning goal against Sturm Graz II, which secured the promotion to the Bundesliga.

The 24-year-old defender, who has been playing in Linz since July 2019, played 143 competitive games for the club during this time. A look at the career

Mitrovic came to Linz in 2019 from the youth of FK Vojvodina Novi Sad. During his time in Austria, he developed into an indispensable part of the team. But last season his role was a little more restricted; Overall, he only came to 13 missions in the Bundesliga and was only six times in the starting eleven. Despite these challenges, his last appearance for blue and white remains unforgettable.

The decision to leave the club marks an important step in the young defender's career. It remains exciting to observe how Mitrovic will be in his new environment and whether he can continue the successes he has achieved in Linz.
