McDonald's Vöcklabruck: cheers and celebrations for the 30th anniversary!
Last weekend a very special anniversary was celebrated in Vöcklabruck: the McDonald’s restaurant in the city looks back on 30 years of successful history. The celebrations were a colorful mix of fun, music and many prominent guests who came together to celebrate this milestone event. Anabela Delic, the Chief Restaurant Officer at McDonald’s Austria, praised the loyalty of the guests and the tireless work of the employees without whom this success story would not have been possible.
Mayor Peter Schobesberger and Vice Mayor David Soucek-Hofmann congratulated the restaurant and paid tribute to the social role that McDonald’s plays in Vöcklabruck. Schobesberger even described the fast food chain as a "fixed institution" in the city. Many people not only use the branch to fortify themselves with burgers, but also as a social meeting point, which increases the importance of the location beyond mere fast food.
celebration for the whole family
A highlight of the anniversary celebration was the so -called family fun days, which attracted numerous young visitors. Here children and families were able to take part in various activities and enjoy the colorful atmosphere. "It makes us proud to welcome so many families," summed up Delic and emphasized that McDonald’s is always more than a place for quick meals - it is also a place of encounter.
This development is not isolated. The McDonald’s restaurant in Hard, which also celebrated its 30th anniversary, also ran new times with similar celebrations in cooperation with the ÖAMTC, the Raiffeisen Club and the Ronald McDonald Kinderhilfe. 30 years ago, on March 24, 1994, the restaurant in Hard opened its doors and has since employed an international team of 60 nations. Similar to Vöcklabruck, you deal with around 70 percent of regional food supply, which contributes to strengthening local added value.
The role of McDonald’s in society
The McDonald’s Corporation, which was founded in 1940 by Richard and Maurice McDonald, has now been the highest sales of fast food group in the world with over 41,800 restaurants in more than 120 countries. In addition to the culinary offerings, initiatives for environmental protection and to improve working conditions have also come into focus in recent years. The company has launched programs to reduce packaging waste and offers new dishes such as the vegan McPlant-Burger.
This comprehensive development and the positive response in the region shows that McDonald’s is not only known for its fast snacks, but is also well anchored in the social life of its locations. The Vöcklabruck branch remains a popular starting point that takes up and continues the stories of families and friends.
