Triumph at the over-over-marathon: Lac Molln shines in Kirchdorf!

Kirchdorf an der Krems, Österreich - An exciting competition day took place on May 29 in Kirchdorf, at which the LAC Nationalpark molln shone. The over-over-marathon stretched over 42.2 kilometers (two laps) and included 1,300 meters of altitude, while the half marathon led over 21.1 kilometers and 650 meters of altitude. The participants presented themselves in the best form and ensure exciting competitions.

The athlete Michael Bamberger made it to second place with a time of 3:25:20 hours, followed by Michael Pramberger, who took third place in the overall ranking with 3:29:02 hours. Even in the half marathon, Stefan Gotthartsleitner was able to fight for second place with a time of 1:27:10 hours, while Manuel Pühringer secured fifth place.

in the age groups, Christoph Hackl (M40) and Ralf Neuland (M60) stand out, each of whom were able to win their classes. Katrin Kogseder also showed her strength and reached second place in the W30, while Johann Stritzenberg took third place in the M60. The young talents Elias Draxler (U14) and Madlen Poherzelsky (U8) also performed great performances and each secured second place in their age groups.

The Kirchdorfer city run over 5.4 kilometers was also a highlight of the day, in which Lukas Helmberger won the victory in a new record time of 17:30 minutes. Christoph Stadler followed him in second place, accompanied by Sepp Schwarzer, the second in the M70, and Leo Ebner, who took third place in the M30.

The Kirchdorf running festival has established itself since 2000 and enjoyed more than 300 participants this year who set a record. The event, organized by the Kirchdorf in cooperation with the city office Kirchdorf/Krems, offers a platform for sports enthusiasts who rely on the main routes and on a relay exercise. The high number of children and students who made up over 160 participants and had the largest share of the competitors is particularly gratifying.

The weather may have been a bit cool, but that didn't stop the athletes from starting with full vigor. The runners were offered a successful event with various catering stations and a colorful supporting program.
