New e-charging stations on swimming lakes: charge for the future in Upper Austria!
In Upper Austria, something happens in the field of e-mobility! Energie AG recently opened new e-charging stations at four popular bathing lakes. The company wants to expand the infrastructure for electric vehicles and cover the increasing demand, for example, on hot summer days. With the opening of these charging stations in Traunkirchen , litzlberg am Attersee , Mondsee/Loibichl and Feldkirchner Badesen relies on an energy AG.
"The new ones all with eight AC Wallboxes, each offer an output of 11 kW, are particularly important to enable users to quickly and easily load their electric vehicles," explains Christian Nemeth, Managing Director of Energie AG Sales. In addition, another charging station on front Langbathsee is put into operation, which is also equipped with a loan card terminal.
on expansion course in Upper Austria
Even more expansion is imminent: In order to strengthen e-mobility, a total of eleven new quick charging stations were put into operation in Upper Austria. These charging stations, which are in Vöcklabruck , Mattighofen , Bad Ischl , Rohrbach and Grieskirchen , offer charging services of up to 75 kw. If you charge your vehicle there, you can reach a range of up to 125 kilometers in just 15 minutes - ideal to be mobile again quickly!
The use of these new charging stations is, as in the previous stations, either with a specific charging card from Energie AG or via modern payment methods such as QR code, credit card, or even PayPal.
The state of e-mobility in Austria
E-mobility not only booms in Upper Austria, but also ends up high sales in the entire Austrian market. In 2023, around 244,000 electric vehicles were registered in Austria. There were around 155,500 pure electric cars, which corresponds to 3 % of the total stock of passenger cars. A particularly popular model was the Tesla Model Y in 2023, which was able to record over 6,000 new registrations. The rise of e-mobility does not remain unnoticed: Austria already occupies 11th place in Europe with around 18,600 e-charging stations.
In order to meet the growing requirements, it is found that a complete switch to electric vehicles would require an additional electricity requirement of around 20 terawatt hours per year. Investments in the charging infrastructure are therefore more important than ever to ensure the future of sustainable mobility and to make the traffic sector more environmentally friendly
With the constant expansion of the charging infrastructure and the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, it can be seen that e-mobility is not only an environmentally friendly trend, but also essential development for the mobility of the future.
