288 cyclists at the spectacular Bike the Lies in Haag active!
Haag am Hausruck, Österreich - On June 2, 2025, the cycling association (RFV) organized the popular racing spectacle "Bike the Lies" for the fourth time. 288 cyclists made themselves on the almost 22 kilometer route from Neukirchen near Lambach to Haag am Hausruck. Despite a strong west wind, the participants bravely set in motion and once again demonstrated their sporty class. The route was a technical challenge, especially at two crucial points that had a big impact on the race.
The event started at 10:00 a.m. with the individual time trial, followed by the 3 -series team time trial, and the race track led over the blocked cycle route of the former railway line. A total of 244 meters of altitude had to be mastered. The first participants started on Saturday, at the start number edition in the Sportzentrum Weibern, where numerous equipment and information were available. The organizers offered the athletes the opportunity to warm up in a relaxing setting before the race.
Powerful time-driving competition
The high requirements paid off: In the men's time trial, Daniel Hochstrasser was the fastest with a time of 29: 01.36 minutes, followed by Johannes Hirschbichler and Julian Braun. The level was also kept high for women. Nadja Heigl won 34: 01.92 minutes, ahead of Barbara Gschwandtner and Julia Elsigan. Lorraine Wagner was able to take first place in the women's racing bike ranking, while Thomas Mairhofer triumphed 32: 13.40 minutes in the men's ranking.
A vintage category was offered for the first time this year, which enjoyed great popularity. Here Krispin Hable, Gerold Zeidler and Marco Wieser took the first three places. In addition, the best teams were awarded: the fastest women's team was the RC Grieskirchen/Sportradl.at, the men's team MelaSport and the mixedteam Urc Racing Trio.solemn supporting program and outlook
In addition to the sporting highlights, the target area in Haag offered a colorful program with music, a bouncy castle for the little guests and culinary offers. The award ceremony took place in the new sports center of the Union Women and caused a solemn atmosphere. In addition to the medals, material prices were also raffled among the participants present, which also loosened up the mood.
Participation and event format enjoyed great popularity. The organizers are already looking forward to the next edition of "Bike the Lies", which is planned for May 17, 2026.
