Wartberg beats Julbach 3-1 - tension in the Raiffeisen Aist stadium!

In the exciting encounter between the district league North on Friday, June 6, 2025, the teams of TSU Wartberg/Aist and Union Julbach met in Raiffeisen Aist Stadium. The encounter ended with a clear 3-1 victory for Wartberg/Aist, who continues the home eleven in the fight for the front places.

Right from the start showed Wartberg/Aist that they were three points out. Michael Hausleitner brought the hosts into the lead in the 2nd minute. This early tour gave the team around coach Daniel Winkler additional security. Julbach, on the other hand, fought bravely and was able to equalize in the 41st minute by a free kick by Stefan Geißler. So it went into the cabin with a 1: 1 - an exciting duel was in full swing.

Wartberg turns the game

After the break, the hosts took the scepter back in hand. Philipp Pilgerstorfer made 2-1 in the 67th minute, and just twelve minutes later David Schimpl set the final point with the third goal (79th minute). Wartberg/Aist was particularly more present in the attack in the second half and took advantage of their chances.

The starting eleven of Wartberg/Aist included players like B. Schuster, A. Kaar and P. Pilgerstorfer, while Julbach ran with L. Wagner, S. Geißler and F. Schneeberger. Despite some change of the two coaches, Julbach could not make the pressure from Wartberg decisively - the defense did not stand up, and the motivational spoils were not enough to catch up.

curiosities and opportunities

Other remarkable moments occurred before the break. Lukas Wimmer missed a good opportunity for Julbach in the 8th minute with a header, and David Schlägl also failed in the first half when he missed the goal. For Wartberg/Aist, players such as Matthias Steinkell and Florian Seiberl also gave numerous opportunities that the game could have overturned at any time.

Despite the defeat, the Union Julbach remains optimistic. In their last encounter against Wartberg they won the game 2-1 in an exciting duel. After a goalless first round, Jakob Lauss converted the first goal for Julbach in the 57th minute, followed by a goal to 2-1 by Fabian Pils, who converted a penalty. It remains to be seen how both teams will continue in the upcoming games - excitement is guaranteed!

For Wartberg, this victory not only means an important gain in the spot, but also a boost for self -confidence in the upcoming challenges of the district league, while Julbach is urgently dependent on points after a strong appearance.
