Financial freedom for women: Lecture in Euratsfeld on June 17th!
On Tuesday, June 17th, an important lecture with the title "Woman and Money" will take place in the Euratsfeld parish hall from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The initiators of this event are the “Turning Point” association and the network of Austrian women's and girls advice centers. The speaker Elisabeth Cinatl, the managing director of the association, will offer her expertise on a topic that affects many women: self -determined use of money and achieving a stable financial situation in different situations. Entry is free of charge and free childcare for mothers with children from the age of three is also offered. Interested women and girls from the age of 14 can register via WhatsApp or by phone at 0650 9405393.
The focus of the lecture is on financial education for women. In Austria, women are often statistically in a financially disadvantaged position, which is due to various structural challenges. For example, women often have less money available, which does not always result from their own decisions. A variety of causes such as professional restrictions due to family and partnerships contribute to this inequality. Implementation of part -time work and the avoidance of salary negotiations are also widespread phenomena among women. According to the website Frau-und-wabi it is therefore important to encourage women to actively deal with their financial situation.
Financial competence and workshops for women
In order to do justice to this need, a workshop series is offered to help women recognize their claims and improve their financial planning. These modules are practical and offer valuable tips to optimize the financial situation. Participants can book the workshops online for free. This Initiative is a cooperation with Kokon Advice+Education for women who aims to promote financial education and awareness of your own claims.
Perception and dealing with money are often strongly shaped by personal experiences and the social environment. This becomes clear in workshops that also took place in Berlin, for example. There, 60 participants discussed the topic of money, the associated feelings and personal experiences that affect the view of money. The discussions revolved for questions such as the connection between money and security and the experiences that women could make in childhood with regard to financial matters. Such dialogues are essential to address the so-called gender financial literacy gap according to GLS .
In the workshops, important topics are dealt with, such as creating a pension schedule, real estate and founding financing and the basics of the investment. Various financial products are explained, including funds, government bonds and the origin of dividends from shares in order to convey the necessary knowledge to the participants and to illustrate the importance of a personal financial plan.
The "Woman and Money" initiative in Euratsfeld is a step in the right direction to strengthen women and give them the necessary tools to improve their financial situation. The commitment and clarification of financial issues are more important than ever.
