Construction projects in the Amstetten district: traffic jams and progress until autumn!
In the Amstetten district, it is currently said: construction sites Ahoi! The ongoing projects bring both challenges and advantages. All sorts of measures are currently being taken to expand roads and to improve traffic safety. The work on the lower town square in Waidhofen/Ybbs, which is to be completed on June 11, run better than expected, as Gerald Stöllner from Strabag reports. The paving will soon be restored.
Another significant measure affects the state road L 6260 in the Zettelgraben in the municipality of Weistrach. Here the road width is expanded to 4.20 meters, while at the same time a stone fastener is being built to secure the bank embankment on the Weistrachbach. In order to do justice to the construction work, there will be a total lock with a small -scale detour. As part of this renovation, empty pipes for fiber optic expansion are also laid. These work last until the beginning of October and cost construction costs of around 315,000 euros, which are borne by the state of Lower Austria.
traffic safety in focus
The expansion of the state road B 121 in the "Heide" area in Kematen/Ybbs should also be completed by autumn. These measures aim to improve traffic safety at an accident center of the accident. In addition to left-handing and right-wing turns, an acceleration gauge is created. For this purpose, total construction costs of around 1,130,000 euros are planned, with the state of Lower Austria around 800,000 euros and the market town of Kematen/Ybbs contributed around 330,000 euros.
I wonder: What about the other construction sites in the district? The preparatory work on the roadway renovation of the L98 in Opponitz runs until September 29th. Asphalting work on adjoining facilities in the Aschbach village/Riesing passage should be completed on July 4th. Traffic disabilities are also to be expected in Behamberg, Ernsthofen and Ardagger-Markt that could last until the end of September.
Responsibility on construction sites
But what about security on the construction sites itself? According to the traffic safety obligations, various actors are responsible. The client is primarily responsible for safety on the construction site and must ensure that the construction project is carried out safely. This includes the instruction of its employees, regular controls and documentation of the security precautions as well as adequate protection of the construction sites. If he works on the property himself or takes over the construction site coordination, he remains liability if something goes wrong. This responsibility should not be underestimated, because dangerous situations must always be avoided.
In order to prevent accidents and damage, clear agreements between the client and the executing companies are of the utmost importance. External security inspectors can also be a valuable instrument for the objective evaluation of the security measures. So there is hope that despite the numerous construction sites, everyone involved will prove a good hand and the projects will be brought to the end quickly and safely.
stay tuned, the developments in the Amstetten district continue to promise excitement! Further information on the roads under construction can be found at:
