Sitzenberg, Österreich - Summer becomes colorful and full of life, because the Theaterfest Lower Austria opens its doors! From June 5th to September 7th, the entire federal state transformed into a large stage for theater fans and cultural enthusiasts. This year there are 23 premieres that will take place over the summer months in 19 different locations.

The event promises a varied program in impressive venues such as castles, locks, open -air stages and venerable theater houses. Kristina Sprenger, the chairwoman of the theater festival, promises a grandiose season after it was over 225,000 visitors last year:

William Shakespeare's popular comedy “What you want” in Sitzenberg Palace Castle. As early as June 18, the spectators can look forward to the premiere "Praterstern - scenes from our tragicomic life" by Monika Helfer and Michael Köhlmeier at the Melk summer games.
