Lower Austria celebrates double victory: Kiga Flex and excellent as an employer!

Niederösterreich, Österreich - The state of Lower Austria has twice the reason to be happy at the Austrian Administrative Prize 2025. At the ceremony, which took place in Vienna on June 3, the country received two awards for innovative projects that set new standards not only in administration, but also in elementary pedagogy. The much -noticed "Kiga Flex" project was recognized by the specialist jury as a final project, while in the category "Attractive employer - All Generations" the special prize of the student jury was awarded to the country. What is "Kiga Flex"? The project aims to bring more flexibility and predictability into the working world of over 5,000 elementary educators in the approximately 3,600 kindergartens in Lower Austria. Flexible models are offered here, including part-time group tours, job sharing and regional representation pools that enable better work-life balance. For those who want to remain active beyond retirement, there is the "Stay a Little Longer" concept that allows continuing work in the pension.
