The parish church of St. Veit in Krems on the Danube, also known as the "Cathedral of Wachau", has a long and fascinating story. It goes back to a gift from Emperor Heinrich II from 1014 and was once a parish of far -reaching influence. The current church, the construction of which took place between 1616 and 1630 according to plans by Cypriano Biasino, impresses with its strict, early baroque style.
