Literary summer festival: Reading with music in the Noah ark!
In the picturesque surroundings of the Arche Noah in Krems, visitors can expect a very special highlight on Wednesday, June 18: a reading with music that begins at 7:30 p.m. and will take place in the idyllic garden of the event location in good weather. Admission is already at 6 p.m. The ticket prices are 22 euros, reduced 20 euros, and reservations are possible at @lakult.at . For more information you can also visit the website www.lakult.at
The event promises to become a varied literary-musical Potpourri, in which three extraordinary artists take on the leading roles. Wolfgang Kühn, born in Baden in 1965, currently lives freelance in Zöbing and Vienna. As a co-founder of DUM-the ultimate magazine and carrier of the Hans-Weigel literature scholarship, he made a name for himself in the literary scene. His most recent publication, the novel "Kurzenbach", was published in 2022, followed by the publication of several anthologies, including the latest "Mein Waldviertel II" from 2024.
The participants
Together with Kühn, Andreas Nastl will also be on stage. He was also born in Langenlois in 1965 and made a significant contribution to the literary landscape there. His latest volume of poems, "Liederliche poetry", was published in 2024. In the past, he drew attention to himself with autobiographical novels and dialect poems.
The event is accompanied musically by the talented Heidelinde Gratzl. The artist born in Vienna has a diverse musical background that ranges from traditional to experimental music. With her national and international concert activity and cooperation with artists such as Franziska Hatz, she brings a breath of fresh air to the literary reading.
a look back
This reading is part of the tradition of events that Wolfgang Kühn and Andreas Nastl have already carried out in the past. In November 2018, an equally entertaining literature and music event took place in Langenlois, in which they presented the theme of the "fast animals" or "Fost-Viecha" in a humorous way. Over 60 different "Fost-Viecha" were made clear by dialect miniatures. The musical accompaniment, including Irmi Drexler (violin) and Kerstin Kargl (accordion), underlined the musical aspect of this meeting. It was shown that the world of animals does not always have to be taken seriously.
The upcoming reading in the Noah ark therefore not only promises deep insights into the artistic work of the participants, but also unforgettable musical moments in charming, summer atmosphere. Don't miss this event!
