Community project for traffic safety

These comprehensive repair measures were carried out as a joint project between the city of Dippoldiswalde and the Pirna district office. For the construction of the new roundabout, the Ballastrachenstrasse (K9010) and Thomas-Müntzer-Straße (K9013) were converted to improve traffic safety and create a safe space for pedestrians. The city's construction and the renewal of the street lighting are also carried by the city.

The total cost of the renovation amounts to around 2.3 million euros, of which around one million euros come from the district's own funds. The project was also financed by means of the Local Budget 2024 of the Free State of Saxony. Despite the positive results, there was criticism of the longer construction period of residents and city councilors. For compensation, the executive company Bistra-Bau donated 1,000 euros to the Paulsdorf local council and 500 euros to the Weißeritztal-Erbnis-GmbH.
