Celebration mood in Bargau: 100 years of music club with a big festival weekend!
The 100th anniversary of the Musikverein Bargau has been celebrated in Schwäbisch Gmünd today, May 29, 2025. On the occasion of this special event, the festivities begin to Father's Day and move numerous guests to the festival meadow next to the Fein Halle at Himmelreichstraße 14/1. The event planning for this festive occasion has been running for months and comprises over 700 services and more than 70 waiters that are responsible for the supply of food and drinks. The weather is changeable, but the anticipation for the celebrations remains unbroken. There is a candy bar for the little festival visitors and a balloon station that is open today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.The event starts with a service under the motto "At that moment" at 9:30 a.m. The pastoral officer Johannes Angstenberger will lead by the event, supported by musical interludes of the choir and the band Horizont. The musical contributions from the Musikverein Bargau and other local music clubs shape the further course of the day.

A special highlight of the anniversary is the open-air concert of the Austrian band "Seiler and Speer", which will take place tomorrow, May 30th. The admission begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the appearance of the opening act "Päm" at 7:30 p.m. and the main act "Seiler and Speer" at 9 p.m. The tickets for the concert are available both online and by phone from Walter Nagel on 07173/5584.
On Saturday, May 31, the festivities with a large parade takes place. This begins at 4 p.m. at the Schuelberg Stadium, whereby the move starts on time at 5 p.m. with a flag in the tent. Mayor Richard Arnold will speak welcome words. The groups "2 Bböhmisch" and "Falkensturz-Echo" during the after parade party provide the musical entertainment. The moving route leads via Gallengraben and Wiesenstraße to the festival site.
