Fast intervention by the fire brigade prevents major fire in Haag!

In the early Thursday morning, June 5, 2025, a major fire was reported in Haag in the Amstetten district. Shortly after 2 a.m., attentive neighbors alerted the fire brigade after noticing flames from an empty shell on the first floor. Ten fire departments immediately went to the fire site with a total of 90 emergency services to prevent worse things.

The use, which was classified as a fire in category B3, was impressively coordinated. Respiratory protection teams with C-tubes managed to quickly control the fire and prevent it from spreading to the roof structure and other parts of the building. Andreas Zöchlinger, the commander and head of operations, emphasized that a later arrival of the fire brigade could have caused considerable damage, which illustrates the importance of a quick reaction.

extinguishing and post-extinguishing work

The extinguishing work was intense and dragged on for several hours. After the fire was deleted, the emergency services had to remove insulation material to ensure that no embers remained. At 6 a.m., the last fire brigades were able to move away after more than four hours. Fortunately, there were no injuries, which often has a high priority in such situations.

The fire protection group consisted of the fire brigades Haag, Pinnersdorf, Haindorf, Ernsthofen, Brunnhof, Rohrbach, Vestenthal, Strengberg, Thürnbuch/Au and St. Valentin. The Haag police and the Red Kreuz Haag also hurried to support the situation and ensure the security of the population.

cause of fire still unclear

The cause of the fire is previously unknown. As is known, fire causes are often complex and can range from unfortunate coincidences to human failure. As statistics show, fires are not only a challenge for the emergency services, but can also result in devastating consequences for the affected communities. A comprehensive analysis and a better understanding of causes of fire are therefore essential to counteract future incidents, such as Feuertrutz executed.

For the fire brigade and the security of the citizens in Haag, this assignment was once again an impressive example of teamwork and quick action, which was able to avert worse damage. In times like this it becomes more clear how important well -trained and well -equipped fire departments are for our communities.
