Globasnitz 13, 9142 Globasnitz, Österreich - June brings a breath of fresh air to the Globasnitz Region, because the popular summer walk around the pilgrim museum will start again. Like 5min , these tours always take place in June and September on the first and third Saturdays in the respective months. In July and August, the audience can look forward to exploring the fascinating summit plateau on Hemmaberg every Saturday - with one exception: On August 16, when the traditional Farant Festival is celebrated, visitors must do without the exciting tour.
The tours begin at 4:30 p.m. at the public parking lot at half the Hemmaberg. Here an ancient settlement area unfolds, which immerse themselves deeply into the Celtic culture, the Roman religious history and early Christian pilgrimage. The leadership gives special insights when it comes to the deity of Iovenate and the development of the Hemmaberg to an important place of pilgrimage with church buildings from the 5th century AD.

The Globasnitz pilgrimage museum is open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from May to September from Tuesday to Saturday. A very special date in 2025 is the Whit Monday, June 9, where a special opening takes place. To ensure that the experience is not clouded by weather -independent, the guided tours are eliminated in thunderstorms or constant rain - you should find out beforehand.
