On August 16, 2025, a nationwide traffic focus to combat drunk driving took place throughout Austria. A worrying aspect: 25 driving licenses had to be confiscated immediately because the drivers were either drunk or under the influence of drugs.
Eight cases of under-alcoholism were also registered, and a total of 195 administrative mandates were filed. These figures once again underline how important it is to drive responsibly so as not to endanger yourself or others.
