The municipality of Hermagor is relating to a new chapter for the lido on Lake Pressegger. The municipal council decision for renewal was on June 27, 2024 and the new building was built with an investment volume of 350,000 euros. This project marks an important step to upgrade the entire area.

The new sanitary building that stands next to the boat rental on the lake shore corresponds to the latest technical standards and ensures accessibility through a wheelchair -friendly ramp. The bathing supervision and a new operating room for water rescue are located on the ground floor. On the upper floor, however, the panoramic break room for meetings and wedding ceremonies as well as a lounge area for the staff are housed.

Mayor DI Leopold Astner discusses that the renewal of the lido is a significant improvement for visitors and the domestic population. The project will not only increase security, but will also increase the attractiveness of Lake Pressegger as a recreation and leisure goal. The mayor Irmgard Hartlieb thanks the regional companies who were involved in the implementation, including the construction company Seiwald Bau GmbH and timber construction technology Stefan Wassermann, who realized timber construction.

In addition to this new building, the planned play area for children is also a highlight for which the municipality is investing 150,000 euros. It is important that both the new building and the playground meet the growing requirements of the visitors. Another important step is to renovate the natural swimming pool in Radnig, which was decided on November 7, 2024.
