Around 50 emergency services moved out to the house, in which two house residents had already escaped. However, these two people suffered injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital. A respiratory protection squad checked the building, while the destroyed windows were left to be sealed. The exact cause of the explosion remains unclear for the time being and is examined by the investigative authorities.
But not only Feldkirchen had to struggle with an incident today. Another message from the neighboring Niederalteich confirms that a fire broke out in a housing estate there at around 12 noon on Wednesday. In this case, a resident of the family home was able to get to safety in good time before the fire brigade arrived. Five voluntary fire departments were on duty and were able to quickly extinguish the fire that had spread on the ground floor and on the outer facade. Despite the rapid reaction, an 84-year-old resident suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital. As in the case of Feldkirchen, a tiled stove is suspected as the cause of the fire. Reason enough for the police to thoroughly examine the circumstances.
