The Unified Floorball Cup 2025 On May 27th in the sports hall of the Hartberg Federal School Center, once again proven how important inclusion is in sports. Ten teams from Burgenland, Styria and Vienna competed to create an exciting and harmonious atmosphere together in the Unified Sport. The Cup was originally supposed to take place in Oberwart, but the event was moved to Hartberg due to the basketball championship of Oberwart Gunners. This did not detract from the mood. The mood in the hall was passionate and shaped by fairness. In exciting group games there were numerous goals and many harmonious interaction that showed how the unified sport reduces barriers and promotes friendships.A look at the participants
The participating teams from Burgenland included: Blue White Oberwart, White Blue Oberwart, Team Dornau 1, Team Dornau 2, Pro Mente Burgenland and the Special Olympics Burgenland team. This variety of teams illustrates how important regional participation is and how solidarity deals with the community.
For the coming months, further events are already planned: In autumn 2025, another matchday will take place in Weiz, while the Unified Floorball Cup West will be held on June 20 in Innsbruck as part of Sport Austria Finals. These events are part of a comprehensive plan to anchor Unified Sport in Austria in the long term, which is supported by the commitment of Special Olympics Austria, as well as by the Austrian Floorball Association.

With the development of an Austria -wide tournament series, it is aimed at promoting social inclusion through sporting activities and celebrating respectful coexistence.
