Rock'n'choir in Oberschützen: Students show hit parade against violence!
On Wednesday evening, the cultural center in Oberschützen turned into a place full of music and joy. Under the title "Rock’n’Choir", the ensembles fellnix horns and vocalographic performed together and delivered a rousing performance. The event was the twentieth in a long series of cooperation between the two groups and the Wimmer high school. This musical cooperation has become an integral part of the school year, which the students consider not only as a highlight, but also as an important motivator during the exam phases. MeinDzirk reports that hits from ABBA and the Beatles as well as melodies from the musical "Hair" perfectly filled the stage.
The overall management took over Volker Weyse, whose experience as a conductor helped the ensembles to be remarkable. Choreographer Maximilian Kallinger provided the impressive dance performance, while Mag. Barbara Graf, as head of the vocal ensemble, brought the voice of the students perfectly. The young talents presented a repertoire that not only inspired audibly, but also stimulated the audience to participate. Especially the song "Don’t Stop Believin’ "from Journey aroused the audience: Inside to live and actively celebrated [BVZ] (https://www.bvz.at/oberwart/konzert-klangeexplosPlosion-in- Oberschetzen-473876122).
cultural education as a focus
These musical events have not only contributed to promoting the talents of the students, but also strengthening social cohesion. The appearance was presented with a clear message: a sign against violence and war. Such cultural gatherings strengthen the school communities and play a central role in the promotion of creative talents. Cultural education is increasingly regarded as an important building block for the personal and social development of students. The experiences in the community not only promote the individual child, but also carry to the creation of a positive school environment at teacher side.
After the performance, numerous conversations between the guests and the actors took place. In a cool drink, the performances were talked about. A nice end to an evening that once again demonstrated that music brings people together and conveys joy. It will be interesting to see what the next collaboration between Triffnix-Horns and Vocalographic will look like. One thing is certain: a good hand for another musical highlight is given!
