Jurek finds his luck: book presentation in the Erwin Moser Museum Gols!

A special event was on the program on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the Erwin Moser Museum in Gols: The book presentation of "Jurek finds his happiness", a newly published children's book that comes up with colorful illustrations by Erwin Moser and sensitive texts by Heinz Janisch. This event attracted a large fan base, which was looking forward to the presentation of the work, which was published by Beltz & Gelberg publishing house.

The story of "Jurek finds his happiness" is about a little hero who, looking for the real happiness, discovers the little beauties of life. The text comes from Heinz Janisch, a long-time friend and colleague of Moser, who was awarded the renowned Hans-Christian-Andersen Prize in 2022. For those present, it was a highlight that Janisch himself read some passages from the book and thus kidnapped the listeners into the magical world of the Jurek.

opening of the annual exhibition 2025

At the same time as the book presentation, the annual exhibition 2025 was also ceremoniously opened in the Erwin Moser Museum. Under the title "Under the Earth and on the roof", the exhibition shows over 60 illustrations that deal thematically with earth and tree caves as well as fantastic aircraft and strange animals. The works invite visitors to explore the cozy and imaginative sides of nature. Mayor Kilian Brandstätter warmly welcomed the guests and thanked Ruth Moser for her tireless initiatives in the museum, which is celebrating his 10th birthday next year.

The illustrations on display reflect Moser's enthusiasm for nature and show motifs such as dormouse, hamster caves and the voracious bird that occurs in many of his stories. These masterpieces from Erwin Moser's estate combine the creative ideas of the artist, who still make hearts beat faster and find great encouragement.

A look into the future

While the exhibition rooms from Moser's works of art come to life, the little visitors can take part in an exciting creative competition. Under the motto "My Baumhaus for Erwin Moser", children between the ages of 6 and 12 are invited to submit their own ideas. Over 1,000 children from several federal states have already participated, and selected drawings will be shown in the Krems caricature museum.

Another highlight of the day was the lively participation of characters from Moser's stories, such as the Rascal Raben Alfons or the cozy book source Koko, which caused radiant faces for many children. There were Golser wines and regional delicacies for every palate, so it became an all -round successful festival for the entire family.

This is how a memorable day ends in the Erwin Moser Museum, which has re -lived up love for literature and art. The annual exhibition runs by the end of March 2026, and visitors can look forward to many other exciting events that keep the memory of the great Erwin Moser alive.
