A lot has happened in the small community of Henndorf: The Jennersdorf city fire department and the Henndorf local fire department are investing heavily in the future of their infrastructure. A significant step in this direction has just been taken - the expansion of the fire station in Henndorf has been completed. The new area not only provides much-needed space for vehicles, but also includes a storage room. A total of around 150,000 euros was invested in the extension. Extensions for Jennersdorf
But something is not only happening in Henndorf: major changes are also underway in Jennersdorf. An expansion of the fire station is planned here, which is necessary due to increasing requirements. The planned extension covers a total area of around 150 square meters and will house a pallet rack warehouse and several swap bodies. The aim of these measures is to improve the spatial structure and optimize processes during large-scale operations. A strong focus on disaster preparedness
The number of disaster bases will be increased from seven to 16 and swap loader vehicles have already been ordered, scheduled for delivery in early 2024. The ordering of mobile small tank systems and generator sets is also in full swing. As part of the expansion, an operational support unit and a central warehouse are also planned to be set up, which will be operated self-sufficiently. This is intended to ensure optimal support during operations, according to the plans until 2027.
