Güssing, Österreich - This year the South Burgenland paradise days shine in new splendor. The event, which took place in the districts of Güssing and Oberwart, was expanded from the previous "paradise days" to a comprehensive "paradise week". On July 16, 2025, organized by the association " A piece of paradise " and the tourism association Südburgenland, lasted four days and offered a lot of attractions The visitors.

The week was characterized by the opening of numerous tourism companies and food generators who opened their doors for interested parties. Particular attention was paid to the thermal campaign day in Stegersbach, which was a complete success with around 1,000 guests. The program addressed both children and adults, with activities such as a children's movement program, live music and exciting house tours.

The final of the week was the big hike, in which over 100 participants took part. A highlight was the impressive fire show, which celebrated the conclusion. Despite the positive response, there were mixed feedback from local specialty producers. While Lukas Bishop of the pasta manufacturer in Ollersdorf reported on pleasant number of visitors, other companies such as the Obsthof in Kukmirn complained that only a few tourists were led: "We just had five to six couples with us" , said Helene Nikles. Doris Kollar-Lackner from the nuclear oil and uhudler production also said that the frequency was disappointing and called for the introduction of shuttle bus lines between the companies to promote visitors.

Ten production companies and four restaurants took part in the Güssing district. There were remarkable 24 companies in the Oberwart district, while no participants were recorded in the Jennersdorf district.

The paradise summer: a new highlight

The paradise days were only the start of an even larger event, the "paradise summer". This is established as an annual event format by the South Burgenland Tourism Association and the Association "Südburgenland - a piece of Paradise". For 2025, the organizers, 61 companies, producers: inside, direct marketers, leisure facilities, hotels and hosts: to include inside to offer a diverse program.

The opening will include a themed day under the motto "Yeaen in paradise", which is particularly aimed at wedding couples. Bridal shows, cake presentations and floral decorations are on the program. In the future, this paradise summer should always take place around the first full moon in summer and thus contribute to strengthening accommodation during the week. This promises an exciting further development for the region and its tourist opportunities.

The second and third day of the paradise week offer special activities in the Therme Stegersbach with extended opening hours and a culinary insight into the regional products. The week is completed with an enjoyable and entertaining delicacy hike in Stegersbach. Here, visitors not only get an insight into the gastronomy, but also into the beautiful nature of the area, accompanied by musical performances.

With these initiatives it becomes clear that a good hand in South Burgenland is shown for the development of sustainable tourism models. The enthusiasm of the organizers is noticeable and visitors can look forward to numerous unforgettable experiences.
